    Fake stand-up commercials.
Why have these become to popular lately? Most are women attempting to make jokes about periods for Midol commercials, but there was just one for Sonic of a lady talking about her insomnia and how when she's up late she can go get food at Sonic and go to sleep happy and crap. Problem is they aren't in the slightest bit funny. If they're going to use stand-up in commercials they should make sure the people are somewhat amusing.

    Oh God go away.
The Today Show has canceled whatever they had planned for their show today, to turn the entire damn thing into some big, stupid ass tribute to Micheal Jackson. Apparently they aren't going to focus on their Lend a Hand Today segment, but will show it all on Monday instead. Any stories they had planned have been done away with, any guests they had planned put on the back burner, all because some freak who had hit music died. Why are they not doing this for Farrah Fawcett? Why do I not remember them doing this when Bea Arthur died recently? Or for Ed McMahon? Why is Jackson so special that everyone else can kiss off so they can talk about his freak self all day?

    Are we supposed to care?
I'm watching Princess Diaries 2. It's a decent movie and nothing else is on. But, there's a stupid clock in the upper right corner counting down to some stupid ass sounding show called "Princess Protection Program". It comes on in 23 hours and 44 minutes, but I don't give a damn. Make the clock go away! I want to watch this movie in peace.

    damn it!
For the last few days, certain things don't seem to want to work on my computer. TV Guide doesn't want to show the channels or what is on, and I really wanted to get the name of a comedian that was on last night so I can look up if he has a DVD out or not. But, since it won't show listings I can't do that. Also the Bumper Stickers application on MySpace doesn't want to work, either. I can see the recently popular ones on my home page, but when I click to view them nothing shows up. I can't figure out why they won't work. :(

Why do they take so much?
A guy who won over $200 million from a lotto ticket only brings home about $80mil. It's still a lot of money, but if you're going to tell someone they've won X ammount of money they shouldn't end up getting less than HALF what they were told they won. Taking the cash up front dropped his prize by half, then another 20% or so was taken in "taxes". I find that to be such bullshit. If he won $200,000,000 fair and square he should get that much.

    So many stupid products.
"Get the full feeling without surgery, you don't have to give up real food!" Ummmmm, yeah you do. Eat fullbar, drink a glass of water, wait a half an hour, then eat regular food. It won't take as much food before you feel full. No shit, that's because you just ate something and chugged a glass of water half an hour earlier! Doesn't have to be a "full bar" to get the same effect. I can get a "full feeling" just by drinking a glass of chocolate milk.

If you're eating very little real food after using the "full bar" then you're giving up real food. You can't enjoy what you eat if you can't eat anything before being full. Why do they have to keep coming up with new ways for lazy fucks to lose weight? Want to lose weight? Eat healthy and exercise. Meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables, and grains are all requirements for a healthy diet. Get what you need of those, and get off your fat ass a few times a week, and you won't weigh half a ton anymore.

I've lost weight in the past simply by adding exercise to my week. Working out an hour a day, without changing my diet at all, I lost weight. The only reason I'm still overweight is because I simply got bored and decided to stop the workouts. At any time I could pick them back up and start losing weight again if I so wanted. I don't understand why this concept is so hard for some people to comprehend.

    "Grow thicker, longer lashes!"
Side effects may include eyelid skin darkening, potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent (so if you like your light blue eyes be careful!), potential for increased hair growth where the product comes in contact with skin, itchy eyes and eye redness.

Really? All for longer eyelashes that sane people don't give a flying fuck about in the first place? Nice. I mean, when was the last time any of you said or heard someone say "She wasn't all that great looking, but did you see those eyelashes! They were the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen in my life!"

    Screaming in commercials.
Do advertisers really think that's going to sell anything? There's a commercial for that video game place that's like Netflicks, where it talks about never buying a bad game again because you can rent them and keep them as long as you want. The commercials starts off with a lot of guys all screaming and crying and throwing tantrums because apparently they didn't research their game choices before buying them.

There's another commercial, this one for beer, that starts with a lady showing off her new house and she takes her girlfriends to the giant walk in closet filled with shoes and stuff, and the girls start screaming and squealing at the big closet. Then they stop, wondering what a sound is, and you see the men all in a giant walk in cooler filled with whatever the brand of beer, and the guys are all screaming and sqealing and prancing around all excited over the giant fridge.

Those commercials make me want to completely avoid the products they're selling.

    Toy Story 3.
Anyone wanting to see this when it comes out next year? I'm not so sure if I want to. The story mentioned in IMDB doesn't seem very appealing. The toys are dropped off at a daycare when Andy goes to college, and a few o the toys start looking for their "long lost twins". They're toys! There are millions of copies of each of them all over the place! What's to look for?

I might watch it, as I saw the first two and I felt 2 was better than the first, but I'm just not sure about this third movie.

    OMG ew.
So, Yahoo just installed updates, and now I wish I hadn't let it. Yahoo is so ugly now! Instead of the yellow happy faces showing me if someone is online or not it's just big squares with a face that are impossible to tell the difference between online and off. And changing my visibility settings so certain people can see I'm online is more annoying. I'll give it a little while and see if I can get used to it, but if not I'm uninstalling it and re-installing an older version, and then never upgrading it from there. This is just not pretty right now. :(

    Achoo!
"When you sneeze, cover your mouth with your arm, not your hand!" Suddenly that's become the mantra for a lot of folks. But I was doing it BEFORE it was cool. :p

Ugh, learn how to pronounce the letter A, woman!
So You Think You Can Dance is starting, and it's got the same female host as usual. Kat Deely or something. The bitch really needs to learn how to pronounce the letter A. It gets really annoying hearing her mispronounce people's names because her accent leaves her incapable of saying the letter A at the end of a name. "Tabitha" becomes "Tabither" and it gets annoying as fuck after awhile.

    XD
I need to start saving the cats' fur. Mainly Artemis, as he has a LOT of fur for a "shorthair" breed and he sheds badly. There is gray fur piled up on either side of the stairs. We clear it off now an then and in a couple days it's built up again. I was just using the "furinator", which is like the Shed Ender brush. Pulled quite a bit of fur out of him in between his rolling around and being cute, and I'm sure he's still got half a ton of fur that can be pulled out of him without him going bald. XD Would be kinda neat to save up the fur and have something made out of it later. I've seen that before, where you can save aside fur from groomings and there are people who will take it and make thread/yarn out of it and make hats or scarves out of it, depending on the ammount of fur. I swear if I started now I could probably get a blanket out of that cat before he dies of old age.

Which, is something else I've been thinking of lately. Our girl, Trouble, is getting up there in age. I don't remember exactly how old anymore, but she HAS to be a teenager by now. I think it was about 10 years ago that we got her. We got her about 2 years after our first cat died, and I think I was 10-12 then. I can't remember for sure anymore. But, she was probably a couple years old then, and we had her for a couple years before we got Koshi, and then we had Koshi for a few years before she and her puppies went missing. *:(* We've had her through both apartments we've lived in since then, too.

It's starting to get me concerned that she may not have much longer left. I mean, she could live another 10 years for all I know, but then again she could be gone by tonight. There's no way to tell, just gotta keep hoping she lives for a really long time. I don't know what I'll do when she's gone. She's an annoying little cat but she's still my baby. And poor Artemis is probably going to get lonely, too. He's always had a playmate around. His litter mates before we got him, and then her afterward.

    Wooo, binoculars!
Just ordered a pair of binoculars with the "rewards points" I get from my bank. XD I need to start using my card number when I do certain things online so I get more points. I usually use paypal for things like buying the monthly items from Gaia Online, but I'd get more points if I used my actual credit card number instead. Same on eBay. I haven't been on eBay in awhile as I want to hit $800 towards vacation before I start buying random useless crap again, but when I do go back to eBay I need to use my credit card to pay into people's paypals as often as I can, instead of using my paypal and having things transfered. There's some neat stuff for gaining higher numbers of points, but you only get so many points for every so much money you spend. I don't remember the numbers. So, it's taken me awhile to get the 100 I just cashed in for the binoculars. ^_^

Lady GaGa is a freak. O_o
She's on Ellen right now. She's in a really ugly outfit and had silver halo-ish things on her head. She was playing the piano, and decided to stand on the bench while she played. Why do people like this get popular? She needs to learn what sanity is, I think.

    Light Spot, part 2.
And now the spot is doing strange things. It's getting all swirly inside when my eyes are open. When I close them it's the same triangle from below, but when my eyes are open it tends to swirl, like maybe it's taking the letters off the screen and making them dance or something. It's just that one little spot. It doesn't really look like letters on my screen are moving, just like my eye is grabbing them and then doing strange things with them. I dunno how to explain it.

    What's the point?
They're talking on the news about a woman dying of cancer, who wants the church to do something about a priest that abused her when she was young. She was going only by the name "Jane Doe" so as to hide her identity. So, during the story they show her high school graduation picture, with the face blocked out. Ummmmmm, why? If she doesn't want to be identified then why show the picture at all? The face was blurred out on the image, so where was there really any point in taking video of the picture in the first place? Seems a waste of their time to film something they know the subject doesn't want seen.

    Light spot.
For the last few days I've had a spot of light/shadow in my right eye. It's arrow shaped, and looks a lot like this when I close my eyes. It's getting on my nerves big time.

Poor little bunbun. :( A sad story!
Had an interesting morning on my way in to work today. As I was coming up on an outpatient clinic down the street, some animals were making a lot of commotion. A crow decided it wanted baby bunny for breakfast, and Momma Bunny and some smaller birds were trying to convince him otherwise. Momma was running along the ground trying to tackle the crow whenever he got to low, while the smaller birds dive-bombed him trying to make him drop the baby and run. I decided to help out, which of course meant I was on my own once I started heading that way. Times like that I really wish I could talk to animals like Dr. Doolittle.

I headed after the crow who was still trying to fly away with the crying baby bunny, and I finally got close enough that the crow decided it was better to just leave for the moment than try and carry a squirming rabbit along with it. I stood over the baby to see how it was doing. Poor thing was flailing on the ground, too disoriented to get back on it's feet. Then I noticed it was bleeding. It was bleeding from it's nose and just below it's right eye. :( I carefully picked him up and took him by where his momma was, but of course if I got to close she ran off. I had to get to work, so I put him where I hoped the crow wouldn't get him and had to leave, hoping Momma would come back for him when she was sure I was gone.

I checked on my way home, and he wasn't still under the bushes where I left him, so hopefully she got him. I really wish I could have afforded a call off. I would have stayed around to keep an eye on the baby until I was sure was his mom was going to do, so that if she decided not to come back for him I could try and get him help somewhere. I hate not knowing what happened.

    Current Mood: sad
