Sometimes I really hate the internet. It's so easy to meet new people, but it's also so easy to lose touch with those people and lose all track of how they're doing. I should be sleeping now as I need to get up in about 6 hours, but of course my brain won't cooperate. Thinking about some long lost friends from over a decade ago. When I was a teenager Brak's Chat was a very important place to me. I spent all my free time talking to people there, and it was the first place I felt I really had friends. Never really had any in the real world back then.

There are so many people from back then who were important to me. But I only know their old chat names. Quiggz, Flying Toaster, Bostic, Lord R@ven, Lord S@mson, Lord B@ron, my "brother" roB "Coricopat" Ween, the various Cats Victoria, Mistoffelees, and more. They all meant something to me back then. As mentioned, one was my "brother" in the chats. We joined the Cats and Coricopat and Tantomile, and before that we were "adopted" by other members of the chat. He gave me the "friendly yeti" once when I was down, a friendly version of the yeti from an old ski game. Then there was the @ Team. I "dated" a couple members, and was given a gold rose by one as part of an ongoing RP in the chat. The idea of a gold rose is still important to me, even after all these years.

I have no idea how any of these people are doing, and no way to get in touch with any of them to find out. Are they healthy and happy? Have any of them passed away due to illness, accident, or other circumstances? Do any of them ever think of those days and remember me, like I do about them? They still hold enough importance to me that I name video game characters after them. In a couple games I name a character "Misto" after Mistoffelees, and in Final Fantasy 7 I name Barret Chaos, after another "brother" of mine from the chat. Aries is renamed Victoria every time I play, Red XIII is renamed Bostic, Cid is renamed Cori after my "brother" Coricopat, and Yuffie renamed Akemi. Do I hold any importance to their lives from then, or have I been forgotten by people who once meant so much to me? I have no way to find out, and likely never will.

Sailor Moon Post
A post for my Sailor Moon sales. Sales won't be directly through this post but I'll link to my shops. First up is my eCrater shop. This shop is where I'm selling items I own myself. I have lots of Sailor Moon items for sale, but if you click "categories" near the top right you can find some non-Sailor Moon items as well. I'll be adding more to the shop as I'm able to keep an eye out for updates.

Second is my Amazon.com Affiliates shop. I have added all the new Sailor Moon merchandise I could find to the shop, including the new GE items and products from from Hot Topic. Please note that these items are not ones I have any personal handling on. They are sold through Amazon via the accounts for GE and Hot Topic (plus a few fan items sold by various sellers). Any sales made through my shop, however, gets me a percentage of the sales price. Hoping to be able to get people buying through my shop as I recently moved and need whatever extra money I can while I look for a job. My affiliates shop can be found here: Leona's Cavern Gift Shop

Writer's Block: Tearjerkers
The Green Mile.  Every time I watch it, I cry like a baby at the end.  I love the movie until the ending, and then it's just T_T.
Which movie always makes you cry?

A true friend doesn't care when you're broke, being a bitch, what you weigh, if your house is a mess, what you drive, about your past, or if your family is filled with crazy people. Your conversations pick up where they left off, even if it has been months (or even years) apart. They love you...for who you are. Re-post if you have at least one true friend. They will know who they are. ♥

Something from Facebook that I decided to post here. People here are the ones that matter most where this post is concerned. ^_^

Writer's Block: Looney times
What was your favorite childhood cartoon, and why?
Sailor Moon. I watched it all the time as a kid and I have every episode and movie downloaded to my computer now. Original Japanese with english fan-sub subtitles. I'm not sure I could say exactly why I like it so much, but I've been a big fan for as long as I've known about it. It's just an awesome show all around.

Writer's Block: Living in the limelight
Do you think parents should have the right to post public pictures and videos of their children on the Internet? Why or why not?

I don't think so, no. Not to the extent some do, anyway. It's one thing to post the occasional picture of the kid playing outside or during a family gathering. But, I watch the blog STFU Parents, and have seen some of the things some people will post on the internet like it's no big deal. Their kids diaper explosions, the kid sitting naked on the potty in the living room *why the hell is the kid always naked and why are those little potties always kept everywhere EXCEPT in the bathroom where they belong?*, naked baby pictures as if anybody but pedo freaks want to see their naked newborn's junk. It's sad and twisted and I don't understand where some people think this is OK. I remember one picture seen on STFU *the blog owner has the decency to do what the parents don't, and edit the images to be a little less nasty* of a woman holding her child over a trash can while the little girl peed, because apparently the 4 year old really REALLY needed to be part of Mardi Gras and I guess toilets are hard to find at Mardi gras. Another is of a child squatting in the grass with a comment about the girl learning to "pop a squat" because sometimes you just have to go outdoors. Ok, sure, but WHY does a picture of this kind of thing need to be taken, and WHY OH WHY does it need to be posted to the internet for freaks to get off on?

Writer's Block: Lassie, come home!
Have you ever had a pet that ran away? Did you eventually find her or him? If not, how long did it take you to recover?
Yes I have. Not really sure if I'll ever really "recover" from it. We had a dog we adopted from friends when they couldn't keep her anymore. After having her a few years, she ended up having puppies. A tornado wiped out our fence and she ran off with her boyfriend shortly afterwards. A few months later, there were the most adorable little mutts you could ever hope to see. I got to see most of them be born. When the puppies were around 7 or 8 months old, they escaped out make-shift fence to chase some rabbits or squirrels. The mother and her two boys never came back. Her daughter, my little Luna, came back with some injuries. We had to keep her inside, separated from her sister for a few weeks to watch for signs of rabies. Not long after it was safe to let them be together again, he chained them up in the yard while we left the house for awhile. When mom came home from dropping me off somewhere, they were gone. We never found them before we had to move, and I've never seen them again.

I dreamed about them often for years after that, and I still miss them often. As we speak I'm getting tears in my eyes. I miss them. I didn't even get to see their first birthday, and I have no idea if they were found by anybody and able to live happy healthy lives or not.

Damn Livejournal.
So, apparently they're not going to restore my journal's old custom colors themselves, I have to do it on my own. Problem? I don't know exactly what colors I used, so I have to eyeball it. I had a screenshot at one point, but I can't find it. Apparently it got lost in transition when going from one computer to another, even though I've tried to move everything over to go through later. I have the colors for one of my other journals, but it uses different colors than this one. I've mostly restored the look of my journal, but I just can NOT seem to get the links right. I can't figure out exactly what it is about them that's off, but SOMETHING is off and I don't know how to fix it. Damn livejournal. I just want my journal to look like it used to, and I can't find any screenshots that show the links I had or anything else like that so I can figure it out.

I don't think I am EVER going to figure out the link colors. >_< Everything else looks OK, but I just can't get the link color right for unclicked links. I've tried everything I can think that I might have used, and nothing seems to look right. T_T

Once again, my mother proves herself to be too damned stupid for her own good. She decided to wash a couple of our reusable grocery bags, but was too dense to think to take the plastic sheet out of the bottom of one of them. Part of the plastic sheet is missing now, not sure where it went, and there's a big hole in the bottom of the bag, so it will have to be thrown out/recycled and replaced with a new one next time we're at Aldi. It also looks like she didn't check pockets or something, as there's bits of pink-ish fuzz that I can't figure out where it came from. -_- I really don't know how one woman can be so stupid. She's just lucky the plastic sheet from the bag doesn't seem to have ruined anything else of hers that was in the washer, though she better hope it didn't end up in the dryer. I shook everything out looking for it and didn't find it, so hopefully it isn't in there.

Damn you livejournal, stop stealing my color! The last couple days, when I try and view entries on my friends list, my custom colors don't show up right. I get a white background with black letters, when I should have a black background with a very pale powder blue text. It's getting on my nerves really really quickly.

I swear one of these days my mother is going to fucking burn us all to death. She smokes in her room and has cigarette burns in her sheets and pillowcases from it, and just now I went downstairs to take my dinner bowl to the kitchen, and as I walked past the stove it seemed to be producing heat. Stupid bitch left the front burner turned on after she was done cooking.

Ok, someone help please.
My computer is driving me crazy. In the last couple days it's had a real problem with lagging up. I'll be trying to do something *doesn't matter what program I'm using; FireFox, Yahoo, etc.* and it will lag up. Firefox especially might give me the little "Not Responding" notice at the top if I keep trying to do stuff, but then it will pick back up and work again. It does it over and over, ever few minutes. It's getting on my last nerve. I've restarted FireFox and my computer, and I've run my usual scans with no luck so far. Why does it keep lagging up and what can I do to make it stop? It's getting on my last damn nerve.

I'm a little confused.
While I think the fees are a bit high in some cases, why are people so bitchy about overdraft fees at banks? Make sure you have money before you try and take it out of your bank account. If you don't have it then deal with the consequences. I've had overdraft fees in the past, and while I think they should be a bit more equal to the amount you go over *$30+ for an overdraft of $.50 is a bit much* it wasn't that big a deal in the long run. I just have to be careful about spending.

And this shows just how fucking stupid children are.
They're talking on the news about "The Choking Game". Dumb shit kids who intentionally strangle themselves for a brief euphoric feeling, usually killing themselves in the process. That anybody even came up with this idea in the first place is bad enough, but that it seems to be fairly popular among kids and teens just shows that there is no hope left for humanity.

Wooo! I really need to post more often.
Got back from MFF a few hours ago. Not going to try and do some big con-report thing since I don't tend to do much to warrant one, but it was a fun vacation anyway. :p Vacation itself started Monday before MFF, where I just sat around home all day. XD Tuesday afternoon kilroyfirelizrd came over, and we crammed my stuff in his car and headed to Merrilville to hang out for a couple days. Wandered around the mall where I got an airbrush shirt done *though it took a couple days to actually get it* and got food and fun stuff. Bought a game for my DS and he found one about dragons that I now need to get my own copy of later.

Thursday we headed out to the MFF hotel. Not a lot to do but take care of registration and mingle with people while eating cake and checking out my Sponsor goodies. The next couple days were spent hanging out with Kilroy and Kharivas. Blew $100 on one of the vendors and got a little art done. Watched Uncle Kage's story hour and got to go to the Sponsor brunch, which was AWESOME! They had blueberries and raspberries and chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate shavings to sprinkle on top *though they started getting melty cause some dork put the bowl of chocolate shavings on the hotplate with the pancakes -_-* and bacon and pumpkin ravioli, and I didn't get one myself but they had made-to-order omelet stations where you could have them put in any of several things into your omelet.

I got to pet all kinds of animals I'd normally never get to touch, like a kinkajou, a Lynx, a Fennec Fox, a skunk, and most awesome of all a real live alligator. That was AWESOME! He was so calm, too, even with all the people around talking and taking pictures and touching him. He barely moved, to the point some people thought he was fake at first. XD

Vacation didn't last long enough, damn it. I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I am NOT looking forward to it. I wish I had some form of talent that would let me make money from home and not have to go to a job I don't like. Making money off my photography or something would kick so much ass, but I'd need a much more expensive camera first to have a chance, as my current one still gets blurry images too often due to my unsteady hands. I'd have to buy a camera with a fast enough capture that motion/shaking doesn't have much effect on the quality of the image. I'd also need one that knows how to fucking focus where I tell it to. Mine annoys me so much a lot of the time for not focusing on what I want it to. Squirrel in the tree? Doesn't matter if I try Macro settings on or off, it will focus on branches around the squirrel instead of the squirrel itself.

And now Leno does it. -_-
Any furs wanna go on Leno and set him straight, since this seems to be the week for furs going onto media outlets to talk about the fandom? He was talking to somebody, wasn't paying attention to who, and she was talking of her daughter wanting to wear costumes of some characters from something. The conversation led to something about "furbies" and Leno saying that those are people who dress in animal suits and have various consensual relations with each other. -_- I like Leno, but I hope he doesn't do anything like that again.

I keep getting this message. What is that file, and how do I make the message go away?

*sigh* And of course google searches are doing me much good, but it seems it's not a very good thing. Why the hell am I having so many problems with my poor computer? T_T

It's official, my cat is a jackass. XD
My boy is such a little jackass. We've found a type of ball in the past that he LOVES, but he always loses them somewhere. Mom found some more and has given him one for now, and he's been playing with it a lot since he got it a couple days ago. Just a little while ago, he dragged the thing from the living room downstairs, up here to the bathroom. He hopped into the tub with it and started batting it around the tub. I grabbed my camera to get a little video of him playing in the tub with the ball, so of course before I can come out of my room with the powered-on camera he takes his ball and hops out of the tub, heading back downstairs with it.

A little later I head downstairs to grab some more dinner, and decided to use the downstairs bathroom while I was at it. As soon as I get into the bathroom to do my business, what do I hear but the sounds of Artemis batting his ball around in the upstairs bathroom again. XD Little jerk waited until I couldn't possibly get to the camera easily, and went back up to be cute and play with his toy. He does that ALL THE TIME!! I think he has a 6th sense for when I'm getting my camera, even if I don't say a word about it before hand. He ALWAYS stops being cute as soon as I get the camera.

XD Neat.
Was counting my change out of boredom. Been saving all my change in my pickle jar, and just counted it out of boredom. I don't count pennies as that would take way too damn long, but out of all the nickles, dimes, and quarters I have, I currently have $55.55 in change waiting to be cashed in for vacation. *lol* I think that is awesome.
